I was told that my black lab Luther had a cruciate ligament issue … I didn’t have confidence in my current vets to investigate that condition and maybe surgery… i wanted the best possible outcome and my dog was only 4 … I didn’t some research and found a specialist orthopaedic vet who is freelance and operates from certain vets in Kent … so I then had to find a vet that he would operate from …. I came across Heronden vets in tenterden ( a little way from me …. 40 mins to be exact ! ) but like I said I wanted the best for my dog … I called them up and spoke to Charlie who was lovely she instilled confidence in me from the word go … she explained about Andre ( orthopaedic surgeon) and said they could get x rays done the very next day and go from there …. From my first visit I loved it ….Morgan on reception is delightful nothing too much trouble.. Katie the vet was professional but caring and sensitive… I left Luther there for his X-rays knowing he was in the best of hands … I had the results in 3 days which confirmed ruptured cruciate ligament and surgery needed…they arranged the date of surgery with Andre … they also arranged for me to bring Luther in and have a chat face to face with Andre which was amazing, had everything explained in great detail and the rest is history Luther had his op on June 3 I got sent pictures of him and an update whist he was waiting for his op he is doing so well , the aftercare is just exemplary if ever I’ve been worried they’ve always been happy for me to call and speak with a vet , I was offered to bring him in also if I wanted too … the nurses are fabulous Lucy has done most of his laser and honestly I can’t thank the team enough ….I used to work in customer service and believe me they get it right there … so so pleased I changed vets when I did.

The post operative care that my dog received from the vets at Heronden was second to none . A huge thanks to Anna and Katie who did a fantastic job of putting my mind at rest, listening to all my worries post surgery and of course making my dog feel happy and safe . The other staff including the vet techs and the reception staff are always so helpful, personable and knowledgeable and I’m so grateful they are our vets .

Recently registered at Heronden Veterinary Practice as I had lost faith in my previous vet. By far the best decision we ever made. Saturday we had to make an emergency appointment for our poorly Border Collie and the care and kindness of the staff was unbelievable. She had blood tests carried out while we waited, to rule out anything serious and after having a good news result she had an anti-sickness injection and a weeks worth of meds prescribed. By the next day she was showing signs of great improvement. Can't thank them enough!
