HT Vista
HT Vista is an imaging tool that can support the assessment of skin and subcutaneous lumps in dogs. It uses heat-diffusion technology and artificial intelligence to help the veterinary surgeon decide whether a lump looks low risk or whether further investigation may be needed.
Many lumps are harmless. However, some need prompt attention. Early veterinary assessment helps us choose the right next step. That may be monitoring, sampling, imaging, surgery or another treatment plan. HT Vista does not replace a vet’s clinical judgement, and it does not diagnose cancer on its own.
During an appointment, your vet will examine your dog and talk through the lump’s size, position, appearance and history. If HT Vista is suitable, the scan is quick and non-invasive. The result is then considered alongside the physical examination and your pet’s wider health picture.
HT Vista may be useful when a lump is new, changing, hard to judge by appearance alone or causing concern. In some cases, your vet may still recommend a fine needle aspirate, biopsy or removal. This allows tissue to be assessed more fully.
We will always explain the options clearly. You will know what the scan can tell us, what it cannot tell us, and whether further tests may be sensible. We will also talk about costs, timescales and any follow-up checks your dog may need.
Please do not wait for a lump to grow before asking for advice. A quick check can give useful reassurance, and it can also help identify cases that need a closer look.
